ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jo El's love of drawing came at a young age after a magical encounter of, "Whoa. I know how to draw what I am thinking of!" Afterwards she manically flooded her mother's bed filling it with crayon drawings as a surprise to come home to.

She had dreams of being either an X-Men or a comic book artist, neither of which came to fruition. Her grown-up dream is to work in the set design/theming industry to give others a transcendent experience!

EDUCATION

Jo El attended Florida School of the Arts where she was awarded "Visual Artist of the Year" and received her B.S. in Graphic Design. She also majored in Technical Theatre at Jacksonville University and was awarded "Artistic Excellence and Academic Achievement in the College of Fine Arts." Jo El also traveled abroad to England and Italy studying art, Shakespeare, architecture, and ways to go on adventures at a drop of a hat. Her purpose in life is to find beauty that takes her breath away...and to have fun!
